Before and After ~ Bookcase

We bought this bookcase from a charity shop a while back for just £10.

You may remember seeing it in my sons bedroom (at the end of his bed) here:

But now it has been painted and is in my new bedroom looking all white and lovely!

I didn't sand it, I just painted it with Annie Sloan 'Old White' and then two coats of Farrow and Ball 'Strong White' and I'm really pleased with it.

Amazing how a quick lick of paint can transform a piece of furniture. I have lots more to paint this year, what projects do you have on your list for 2014?

Thank you for reading xx
