Most popular pins

I have been on Pinterest now for over a year and can easily say I'm addicted, I thought I would have tired of it by now but I use it as my constant source of inspiration.

I thought I would share with you my most pinned pins to date:

This gorgeous living room - I love the grey sofa and chevron rug.

This Ikea Living Room - more grey and white loveliness!

Another beautiful Living Room - definitely a theme occurring!

I have these curtains in the playroom and love them!

Love this idea for adding height and interest to your stall!

I love that some of my most pinned pins are also some of my favourite pins! I enjoyed going through my boards to find these, I found lots of forgotten about pins and also noticed I need to do some tidying up!!

Do you use Pinterest? Which have been your most popular pins? Please leave your Pinterest name below so I can have a nosey :)

Crochet ~ The start of the addiction

I am currently back into crochet, I lost my way with it a bit after making granny squares for the combined blanket with our 'Knit & Stitch' group - read full post here. I wanted to make a blanket for myself and although the Granny squares are great, its a lot of effort afterwards to sew them together and ALL those ends need weaving in! So, I looked to Pinterest for inspiration (of course) and came across Attic24's blog, I have heard of it before but never really looked at it, now I am slightly obsessed with it!

I love Lucy's home, I'm not usually one for lots of colour but love the relaxed cosy look she has achieved:

Lucy's blog is full of tutorials for crochet cushions, blankets, bunting you name it! So, I'm thinking of having a go but maybe in more muted colours.

My first project is a Granny stripe blanket, see here for Lucy's tutorial. Here is her finished blanket with a lovely edging:

And here is mine so far:

I have ordered double knit yarn from wool warehouse in white, blues and greys so will see how it turns out. Wish me luck :)

I am starting to gather future project inspiration onto my pinterest board:

Paint Rollers

I first saw Paint Rollers on the recent series of Great Interior Design Challenge, the lovely and very talented Sarah Moore used one on a bedroom wall and on a duvet cover.

Sarah Moore's winning bedroom design, using the Tussock roller.

I then saw them in again in the lovely magazine, Daphne's Diary (if you haven't read this yet then I definitely recommend it).

White Painted Floorboards

One of my latest obsessions is white painted floorboards! It seems that they appear on every page of every Home book or magazine I read (and I read a lot!!). So what to do about this obsession, bearing in mind I have two young Children should 'white' and 'floor' be combined???

Here are some beautiful inspiring examples I have come across:

Exposed Kitchen Shelves

I am seriously considering removing the wall units in our kitchen and replacing them with open shelves. I have visions of beautiful crockery, colour co-ordinated and organised along the shelves but in reality it could just be a mis-matched, cluttered, unorganised mess, so its a real risk! On the rare occasion that my Partner does the washing up, he puts all the glasses/cups back in the cupboard in no order whatsoever, which is fine(ish) when you shut the door on them, but if we had shelves would I just be forever rearranging them? Not to mention the extra cleaning, although if we fill it with everyday items then they shouldn't be sat there long enough to gather dust.

So, I have been looking for inspiration and have put together a Pinterest board before I take the plunge! Here are a few of my favourites:

Mary Margaret's Apartment ~ Once Upon A Time

Sunday night just isn't the same without Channel 5's Once Upon A Time to look forward too! Nothing else quite fits the bill of fairy tales for adults!!

As well as loving the story line, My favourite thing was Mary Margaret's apartment - her rustic beautiful apartment with its exposed brick walls, lots of white, aged bookcases and the simple vintage kitchen! Anybody else rewind and pause to look at it? Well, it appears I'm not alone, I googled Mary Margaret's apartment and found lots of images, blogs and a fan website.

Here are a few images of the famous apartment:
