Lampshade Workshop

Morning all, on Saturday I went to a lampshade making workshop and loved it! What's not to love about a childfree couple of hours, learning a new craft, meeting lovely ladies and lots of cake!!

The workshops are organised by Alison and Susie at Marvellous who run really great craft workshops for little ones and birthday parties in their gorgeous bell tent! This was their first grown up workshop and was a great success, I will definitely be looking out for the next one!

This workshop was run by Rachel at Lovely Little Lamp who makes and sells really fab lampshades through her folksy shop.

I thought I would share a few pictures from the day:

A well organised table full of supplies (and sweets!) to greet us:

And here we all are with our new lampshades:

I'm really chuffed with my new lampshade, here it is in-situ in the Children's red, blue and white bedroom:

Some of the ladies added pompom trims onto their lampshades. I couldn't decide so brought the trim home with me and pegged it into place to see what its looks like, but still can't decide - what do you think?

Thank you for reading xx

    1. Hi Mandy, thank you! I'm really pleased with it and will definitely have another go. If you can't find a workshop, you could always buy one of the kits online and watch a YouTube video? The workshops are fun though :)

  2. I'd love to have had a go at one of those. I recently watched a Kirsty programme where she went to a lady's house and helped to make her own lampshade for her house in Devon.
